Discover the Difference Nature Makes

Why use Beeswax Wraps?

100% Natural:

Unlike clingfilm and plastic, our food wraps are made from all natural ingredients.  So, with none of the harmful chemicals found in clingfilm or plastic, there's nothing harmful to seep into your food.

In fact, some of our ingredients have natural antiseptic and antibacterial qualities.

Keeps food fresh:

Unlike clingfilm or plastic, which can make food sweat, our 100% cotton wraps allows the food to breathe.

This, combined with the natural antibacterial properties of beeswax and pine resin, helps to keep your food fresh for even longer.

Natural 'stickability':

The pine resin, that we use in our food wraps, is also a natural adhesive.  This additional ingredient adds extra 'stickability' to our wraps which helps to make sure you can create a tight seal around your food or container.

100% Biodegradable

How have we made them eco-friendly?

Our wraps:

A lot of careful consideration and thought has gone into choosing all of the  ingredients that we use, not only to produce our food and sandwich wraps, but our packaging too.

Our food and sandwich wraps, lovingly handmade on the Isle of Wight, are made from 100% cotton, U.K. beeswax, pine resin and organic jojoba oil. This means that all our products are a natural and harmless alternative to clingfilm for storing food.

Our packaging:

The same care goes into our choice of  products used for packaging.  Again, lovingly handmade, we only use acid free, recycled and eco-friendly card with jute twine. For our sandwich wraps, we opted to use rustproof, brass-eyelets, that are also fully recyclable.

Compost:

So, when your food wraps have come to the end of their natural life, you can safely pop them in the compost.

With care, proper care, our wraps should last for months.

Once your wraps have come to the end of their days, simply pop them into the compost.

Easy to use

How do I use them?

Basic use:

Our beeswax wraps are simple and very easy to use.

When wrapping anything, either food or a container, simply warm the beeswax wrap using the warmth of your hands. Wrap to create a tight seal and you're done! It's that simple. Just make sure that whatever you're covering is cool.

How to clean your wraps:

Only ever hand wash your wrap, using cool water and a mild detergent, just like you would a plate. Allow to dry naturally, away from heat sources.

Basic care:

With proper care, your wraps should last for months.

Once a month, we recommend that you revitalise your wraps.  Simply pop them into the over, at 100 degrees celsius, for about three minutes.

Remove, allow to cool, and you have a freshly revitalised wrap ready to go.
